Using a theme to decorate your baby nursery will ensure you a one of a kind room that can adapt as your child gets older. Safari Nursery
A safari room can grow with your baby! Simple tan walls can be a great base from which you can build your baby’s safari adventure. With stensils from a craft store you can pain animals such as monkeys or giraffes on the walls. This is a great way to incorporate various stuffed animals either sitting on the furniture or in netting suspended from the ceiling. With creative painting of blue skies, and a fence around the boarder, you can feel like you are outside on the farm. Car Nursery
Rev up your little ones engine with this nursery theme. The great American pastime of driving, riding, building and racing cars can provide much fun for the whole family. This room can be painted half tan and half blue, with a road used as a boarder. Model cars can hang from the ceiling at an angle (to see the top) and be placed on the furniture. Larger toy cars can hold stuffed animals as drivers. To put a race car twist on the room, tie in a start and finish line, and a checkered flag!

Train Nursery
Trains have been personified in a lot of children’s literature, which makes them a great choice for a nursery theme. Make this room come alive by painting tracks that run around the room, going over hills and through forests. You can even draw a cityscape for the train to go through. Just make sure there is either a stuffed or toy tank engine for your child to “drive” around his room!

Fireman Nursery
Why not have a room that teaches your child about the real heroes, firemen! This colorful room can start with the walls painted red on the bottom half, and tan on the top half. This will tie in the rest of the room. If you are creative (or like to use stencils) add a painted fire truck to the top half. A fire hat and boots can add some authenticity to the room. To complete the look add a large stuffed dalmation to guard the firehouse. This theme can result in plenty of imaginary play!
